Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics for Technovasia

At Technovasia, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The following publication ethics outline the responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher to ensure a fair and transparent publication process.

1. Duties of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and adequately cite or quote the works of others. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. The maximum similarity check is 20%.
  • Authorship and Contributions: All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research and writing of the manuscript. Individuals who have made minor contributions should be acknowledged separately.
  • Data Accuracy and Transparency: Authors must present accurate data and ensure that results are reproducible. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is strictly prohibited.
  • Multiple Submissions and Redundant Publications: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Previously published works should not be resubmitted without significant modification.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research and its interpretation.
  • Ethical Research Conduct: Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical guidelines and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Corrections and Retractions: If an error or misconduct is identified in a published work, authors must promptly inform the journal and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions.

2. Duties of Editors

  • Fair and Unbiased Review: Editors must evaluate submissions based on academic merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, or nationality.
  • Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must not disclose information about a submitted manuscript to anyone except the corresponding author, reviewers, and editorial board members.
  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
  • Decision Making: Editors are responsible for making final decisions on manuscript acceptance or rejection based on peer reviews and journal policies.
  • Publication Integrity: Editors must take necessary steps to correct errors, retract papers, or publish clarifications if ethical concerns arise.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat submitted manuscripts as confidential documents and not disclose or discuss them with others.
  • Objectivity and Constructive Criticism: Reviews should be conducted objectively, providing constructive feedback to improve the manuscript.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers should complete their evaluations within the agreed timeframe and notify the editor if they cannot meet the deadline.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should inform the editor of any conflicts of interest that may bias their assessment.
  • Ethical Concerns: Reviewers should alert the editor to any suspected plagiarism, fraud, or ethical misconduct in the manuscript.

4. Duties of the Publisher

  • Ensuring Ethical Oversight: The publisher must work with editors to establish ethical guidelines and ensure adherence to best practices in publishing.
  • Handling Misconduct: The publisher must assist in investigating and addressing any ethical violations, including retracting articles if necessary.
  • Intellectual Property Rights: The publisher must protect authors' rights and ensure proper attribution and licensing of published content.
  • Accessibility and Preservation: The publisher should ensure that journal content remains accessible and preserved for the long term.

5. Ethical Compliance and Misconduct Handling

The journal will conduct a thorough investigation if ethical breaches are suspected or reported. Appropriate actions, including corrections, retractions, or banning authors from future submissions, will be taken based on the severity of the violation.

We encourage authors, reviewers, and readers to report ethical concerns to the editorial email at technovasia.id@gmail.com.
